FNAC (or Fine Needle Aspiration) of the thyroid is a simple procedure that consists of puncture a thyroid nodule to assess the risk of it being malignant. This study provides a lot of information with practically no risk of complications and is performed guided by thyroid ultrasound to ensure that the desired nodule is punctured.
